Jordan Beyer could join Burnley on a permanent basis

As reported by RP Online, Burnley have an option to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Jordan Beyer on a permanent basis. Leading the Championship by 12 points, should Vincent Kompany’s side earn promotion back into the Premier League, then it’s likely that Burnley will exercise their option to sign the German.

Unbeaten in their last 13 Championship games with 11 wins and two draws, Burnley are well clear of Sheffield United and Middlesbrough. Beyer has also played a significant role in their promotion push, playing 20 league games.

It was reported in December that Borussia Mönchengladbach could sell Beyer in the next six months, and now a permanent transfer to Burnley is a likely option. Speaking last year, Gladbach head coach Daniel Farke told Bild that the club are monitoring Beyer’s development in England, but are now likely to lose out on the 22-year-old with the reported exit clause.

Beyer has a long-term contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2026.
