Eintracht Frankfurt have initiated talks with the management of Lyon forward Moussa Dembélé, as exclusively reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
First talks have been positive but Eintracht face competition from Marseille and Napoli. Agent Mamadi Fofana told Plettenberg that Dembélé and his entourage see a move to SGE as an option.
Dembélé is expected to leave Lyon on a free transfer at the end of the season when his contract expires. The Frenchman has played just 867 minutes in Ligue 1 this season, scoring three goals.
The 21-year-old recorded 25 goal contributions (21 goals, 4 assists) in 30 league games for Lyon last season (2021/22) and during the 2020/21 campaign, spent six month on loan at Atletico Madrid.
During his time at Lyon, Dembélé has scored 70 and created 19 in 172 games across all competitions.
With several clubs interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani, who has 14 goals and 12 assists in 30 Bundesliga games this season, it would appear that SGE are weighing up the options should the France international leave the Hessen club this summer.
