Bundesliga clubs are monitoring Gambian wonderkid Adama Bojang

Sky Germany and Bild are reporting that multiple Bundesliga clubs are monitoring the Gambian “miracle striker” Adama Bojang.

The young African striker is an unknown talent, but he is considered to be one of Africa’s most outstanding prospects in the last decade. While Bojang is on the radar of multiple Bundesliga clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are said to be showing the most interest.

However, they would face competition from Manchester United and Strasbourg, the latter of whom have significant links to Chelsea. Bojang is still playing in his home country of Gambia for Steve Biko FC, but he is expected to make the move to Europe within the next two weeks for a fee of around €5m.

The 19-year-old drew attention to himself during the under-20 World Cup that took place earlier in the summer, where he was able to help Gambia to the knockout stages. Bojang scored twice in the tournament, with both goals coming in the first group game against Honduras.

Bojang’s advisor Sascha Empacher is no stranger to European football, as he earned Mohamed Salah a move to Basel from Egypt in 2012. Empacher told Bild: “He (Bojang) is one of the best U20 strikers in the world. Incredibly good at finishing, high speed, big – a real number 9.”

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has spoken to Bojang’s representatives. However, there is stronger contact with other clubs at this time.
