UEFA Champions League PREVIEW | Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham Hotspur

Oliver Glasner’s Eintracht Frankfurt come into the third fixture of their Champions League in search of successive wins in the competition. After a heavy 3-0 defeat against Sporting CP on MD1, they responded well against Marseille and on Tuesday night, they host Tottenham Hotspur at the Waldstadion.

Die Adler come into this game full of confidence after beating Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin 2-0. Mario Götze opened the scoring but will miss tonight’s game with an ankle injury. This shouldn’t affect their attack too much though with Daichi Kamada likely coming in alongside Jesper Lindstrøm and supporting Randal Kolo Muani.

Tottenham Hotspur come into this game following their first Premier League defeat of the season, losing 3-1 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. “After a loss you want to play another game quickly,” said Antonio Conte. “We know very well the game will be very tough because we are playing against Eintracht Frankfurt, they won the Europa League last season.”

Kolo Muani (23) has been an excellent addition to Glasner’s squad on a free transfer. The Frenchman scored two and created six in 12 games across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt this season.

Probable Eintracht Frankfurt & Tottenham Hotspur starting XIs:
