Official | Rangers sign Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich on loan

Rangers have today announced the signing of US international Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich on loan with an option to buy. Should the Scottish side sign Tillman, Bayern have a reported buyback clause.

The 20-year-old was awarded his Bundesliga debut last season under Julian Nagelsmann in a 5-0 win against Stuttgart. Tillman has since played 102 minutes of league football across four games, and was also used as a substitute in two Champions League games last season.

In the fourth tier for Bayern II, Tillman scored four and created four in 15 games.

“I’m really excited to sign for Rangers and I’m looking forward to getting started,” said Tillman. “It’s a new challenge for me at a huge club with fantastic supporters and I can’t wait for the season ahead.”

Born to an American dad and German mother, in May Tillman opted to represent the United States instead of Germany despite representing Germany at U15 level through to the U21s.
