Schalke have activated their buy-back clause for 21-year-old SC Paderborn forward Bernard Tekpetey.
The Ghana international has spent the past year at Paderborn, helping the 2. Bundesliga earn promotion to the top flight with 10 goals and 6 assists in 32 league games.
Sky Germany report that Schalke are likely to loan Tekpetey out to another Bundesliga club after exercising their €2.5m option.
