Germany national team head coach Jürgen Klopp has stated that improving the state of the German national team is going to take time. The German Bundestrainer took time to reiterate his claim at his introductory press conference that chaos might reign in the wake of his ambitious attempted rebuild following Sunday night’s 1-0 loss to Greece in Augsburg
Following the defeat against Greece at Augsburg’s WWK Arena, Klopp said, “I knew before coming here that German football is currently not in the best situation it has ever been, and that Jürgen Klopp wasn’t going to just come and simply solve all the problems with a wave of his hand. If anyone didn’t know that, they know it now. Steps can never be big enough. Things can never happen quickly enough. But eventually, in the near future, there will be a moment when we will be difficult to play against for any opponent”
Klopp, who has made the worst start as Germany’s head coach, also stated that it is more important to have a good ending than a good start.
The coach also defended his players, stating that he should be the one to receive criticism and not the players. He also mentioned that he was surprised by the boos at the stadium. “ The future is as bright as we make it. We’ll take it on with everything we have. We’ll continue on this path,” he added.
