RB Leipzig interested in Robert Andrich

Robert Andrich has caught the attention of RB Leipzig, according to Sky Germany. The 31-year-old midfielder has previously been told that he is free to leave Bayer Leverkusen and is not part of the plans of new head coach Carles Martínez. Additionally, Andrich is also no longer the captain of the 2023/24 Bundesliga Champions.

Reports suggest that both Leverkusen and Andrich have been informed of Leipzig’s interest. However, talks are not at an advanced stage, even though a deal can be reached until deadline day. Despite the fact that Andrich is allowed to leave Leverkusen, Sky reports that he can see himself staying at the club as he has a contract until 2028.

Leipzig find Andrich intriguing and believe that his profile fits what they are looking for in midfield, according to Sky. However, BILD has stated that RB Leipzig are not considering the player.

Having sold Exequiel Palacios to Ipswich Town, Leverkusen will be forced to look for a new six if Andrich also leaves. A report from BILD suggests that Andrich, who returned to training on Tuesday, can stay for this reason.
