Leon Goretzka hopes to leave Bayern Munich for the Premier League

As reported by Bild, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is looking for a potential route out of Bavaria this summer. It is understood that the 28-year-old is keen on a move to the Premier League.

During the summer, the former Schalke midfielder was on the radar of multiple English sides, such as West Ham United and Manchester United. Nevertheless, Goretzka elected to remain at Bayern and fight for his place in the side.

It was a decision that appeared to be fruitful for both parties. With Goretzka flourishing alongside Joshua Kimmich, Bayern saw their midfield begin to stabilise under the stewardship of the pair.

Regardless, in recent weeks, the 28-year-old has seen his game time diminish as Raphaël Guerreiro has become the preferred option in midfield. This has, therefore, seen his relationship with Thomas Tuchel has begin to sour, meaning that a parting of ways could be on the horizon.

While it is currently unknown as to who is looking to court Goretzka at the end of the campaign, the Bayern midfielder has certainly not tarnished his name with his performances this season. With his contract set to expire in 2026, the record champions could also demand a healthy sum for the 28-year-old, as they could look to use the finances to sign a number six.
