Harry Kane breaks Erling Haaland’s Bundesliga record

Bayern Munich may be eight points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, but Harry Kane continues to break Bundesliga records.

Kane’s 25th league goal of the season in 22 games is the quickest to reach the milestone of any player, beating Erling Haaland who took 25 games for Borussia Dortmund.

The 30-year-old has now exceeded Toni’s record of 24 for most goals by a Bayern Munich player in his debut season, set in the 2007/08 campaign. But not only that, Kane is now only five goals away from matching Uwe Seeler’s league record of 30, scored in the 1963/64 campaign.

It took Kane just a matter of weeks to break his first record after joining from Tottenham Hotspur on August 12. The international superstar is a player with worldwide reputation, and since his signing fans flocked to stores to buy their Kane shirts.

Bayern Munich sold more than 13,000 jerseys with Kane on the back the day after his signing, a new record. Bayern’s previous record sales was after their 2020 Champions League win against PSG.
