Harry Kane sets new Bayern Munich record

Harry Kane has been a Bayern Munich player for a matter of weeks, but the England forward is already setting records at the Rekordmeister. The international superstar is a player with worldwide reputation, and since his signing fans have flocked to stores to buy their Kane shirts.

According to Kicker, Bayern Munich sold more than 13,000 jerseys with Kane on the back the day after his signings, a new record. Bayern’s previous record sales was after their 2020 Champions League win against PSG.

Not only will Kane bring sporting success to Bayern Munich such as titles, but they will also see an increase in terms of merchandising sales but also further marketing and sponsorships because of the Englishman’s global status.

Kane signed for Bayern Munich on August 12 and made his debut, replacing Mathys Tel after the hour mark, that same day against RB Leipzig in the Supercup which they lost 3-0. Kane would then make his first competitive start for Bayern Munich the following weekend, registering an assist after four minutes, before opening his Bayern account.
