Official | Harry Kane joins Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

The England captain has signed a four-year deal at the club until 2027, and becomes one of the club’s top earners. Kane will earn a reported €25m salary at Bayern Munich, a significant increase on the €12m he was on at Tottenham.

After three unsuccessful bids, Spurs finally accepted a fee of €100m plus add-ons for their starman.

The transfer saga between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich has been long and sometimes confusing. For a time, it looked as if Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou had won over Kane since his arrival this summer.

However, once the bid had been accepted and several last-minute green lights were given, Kane made his way to Munich.

Upon signing for the Rekordmeister, Kane said: “I’m very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I’ve always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career. This club is defined by its winning mentality – it feels very good to be here.”

Bayern’s Bundesliga campaign begins next Friday as the Bavarians head to Werder Bremen in the season’s curtain-raiser, but it’s expected that Kane will be in Bayern Munich’s squad to face RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup on Saturday night.
