Talks between Robin Gosens and Union Berlin are in an advanced stage

According to Kicker, talks between Robin Gosens and Union Berlin have reached an advanced stage with Die Eisernen stepping up their pursuit for the 28-year-old.

Sky Germany reports that Gosens has received an offer from Union over a move, but the left-back will take his time over a decision. While any negotiations with Inter Milan over a move have yet to begin.

It is reported that the 28-year-old dreams of one day playing in the Bundesliga. A possible scenario for the move could be Gosens joining Union on loan with an obligation to buy. This is due to the fact that Gosens is reportedly set to cost between €15-20m unless Inter lower their price due to him being their second-choice left-back.

Union are preparing for their first season of Champions League football and need players with Champions League experience such as Gosens, who appeared for Inter in their Champions League final loss to Manchester City.

Union have already made the loans of Diogo Leite and Lennart Grill permanent while also completing the signings of Alex Kral on loan and Mikkel Kaufmann.
