Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Manchester City

RB Leipzig will be without Christopher Nkunku when they face Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16 second-leg on Tuesday night with the game currently tied 1-1 after the first 90 minutes.

Nkunku suffered a thigh strain in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund after making his first start for the Saxony club since November. The Frenchman is sidelined for two weeks which means that he will miss tomorrow’s crucial game as Marco Rose’s side look to secure a place in the quarter-final.

Heading into the game, Rose did confirm that Dani Olmo would be an option and as the Spaniard works back from a recent muscular injury, it’s possible that Olmo could feature for 20 minutes should he need to do so.

Defensively, Janis Blaswich will remain in goal behind Willi Orban and Joško Gvardiol. Marcel Halstenberg is expected to start ahead of David Raum and Benjamin Henrichs should keep his place at right-back.

RB Leipzig are also without Xaver Schlager which should mean a midfield pivot of Konrad Laimer and Kevin Kampl.

Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Manchester City

Janis Blaswich – Benjamin Henrichs, Willi Orban, Joško Gvardiol, Marcel Halstenberg – Konrad Laimer, Kevin Kampl – Dominik Szoboszlai, Emil Forsberg, Timo Werner – André Silva.
