Liverpool have announced that they have completed the signing of RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

The 22-year-old joined Leipzig in 2021 from sister club Red Bull Salzburg for €22m. During his two-and-a-half-year spell in Germany, the Hungarian played 91 times for Leipzig scoring 20 and assisting 22.

Szoboszlai has made himself known due to his ability to strike a ball, especially from a dead ball scenario, but under Marco Rose the Hungarian has improved massively in his ability to provide for other teammates

Leipzig will lose their second marquee player of the summer after Christopher Nkunku departed for Chelsea. After a promising end to last season, there was the chance to challenge for the Bundesliga this season but due to the departure of Nkunku, Szoboszlai and possibly Joško Gvardiol, Leipzig will now need to turn their attention to replacing these players.
