Incredible stat proves why Dominik Szoboszlai will be a phenomenal asset to Liverpool

It has been a truly phenomenal season for Dominik Szoboszlai. Twelve months ago, the Hungarian international was struggling to maintain a consistent role in an RB Leipzig side that was failing to keep up with Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table.

However, after finishing five points behind Die Rekordmeister last term, the change in fortunes can be drawn to none other than the departing Szoboszlai. While in the league, both campaigns have seen the 22-year-old return six goals and eight assists, he has been a far more reliable threat for Die Roten Bullen.

Last year, as per FBRef, Szoboszlai was able to create 4.61 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes. While this ranked him eleventh in the Bundesliga, fast-forward twelve months and the Hungarian is now in pole position. With 5.52 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes this campaign, he has established himself as the Bundesliga’s most dangerous creator.

He has also been able to do this on a far more consistent basis. He is creating an extra shot on goal for Leipzig every match compared to last year, but he is doing it having played an extra 900 league minutes. At 22, Szoboszlai is a lethal architect, and this has been resembled with his 13 assists in all competitions.

Nevertheless, Liverpool will also be receiving a competent marksman. A collection of 10 goals in all competitions last season, left him the only Leipzig player to return double digits in goals and assists. A frightening addition to an already dangerous Liverpool front line.
