No interest in Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix

According to Kicker, there is no interest in Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix, despite the Frenchman wanting to leave the club this summer.

Lacroix would like to take the next step in his career, however, there has been no interest in the 23-year-old. Last season, the central defender played 26 times for Wolfsburg but his season was cut short by a shoulder injury.

When he did play, Lacroix did not look as solid as he did in his first season in the Bundesliga, most notably he was subbed off after 30 minutes in Wolfsburg’s 4-2 loss to Bayern Munich.

Since his move to Wolfsburg in 2020, Lacroix has attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund but neither developed into anything concrete.

The signing of Mortiz Jenz will only increase the competition in the Wolfsburg defence next season and if Lacroix fails to garner a move this summer, then he may miss the opportunity to meet his footballing goals.
