Max Kruse turned down by VfL Bochum and Schalke 04

Former Union Berlin and VfL Wolfsburg striker Max Kruse has been turned down by the Bundesliga’s bottom clubs VfL Bochum and Schalke 04, according to Bild.

Just over a year ago, Kruse led the line as Union Berlin beat Borussia Mönchengladbach in an impressive 2-1 victory. Since then, things have hit rock bottom. The 34-year-old soon left for a struggling Wolfsburg side but then soon had his contract terminated

The experienced free agent has mentioned his desire to relocate to the United States but nothing has ever materialised. As per Bild’s report, Kruse has now offered his services to the Bundesliga’s bottom two clubs but both have rejected the move.

After hearing about contact between Kruse’s management at Schalke, head coach Thomas Reis spoke out against any possible transfer to sporting director Peter Knäbel.

It appears a move to another Bundesliga side won’t happen for the Kruse. However, he is on the list of Dutch side Feyenoord Rotterdam and some Turkish clubs.
