Bayern Munich push to keep Lucas Hernandez despite strong PSG interest

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are eager to keep Lucas Hernandez with PSG holding a strong interest in the defender.

Bayern have offered the French international the option to extend until 2027. However, Hernandez has been hesitant to sign any deal for some time. Head coach Thomas Tuchel is giving up. He talks with Hernandez every day in the hope that he will finally put pen to paper.

However, there is strong interest in Hernandez’s native country. PSG president Al-Khelaifi is keen on bringing in the 27-year-old.

PSG have offered Hernandez a big deal which includes a sizable salary increase. However, the Parisian club are yet to submit an official bid for the full-back.

Hernández has only played 11 times for Bayern this season missing large parts of the first half of the season due to torn muscles. This was before tearing his cruciate ligament in France’s opening World Cup game in Qatar ending his season.
