Premier League side Wolves are preparing a new offer to Stuttgart for Saša Kalajdžić.
As reported by Sky Germany, further discussions are taking place today at Wolves as they plan to submit a new written offer after seeing their opening bid of €15m rebuffed. VfB remain adamant that they want €25m for the Austrian forward, who has less than one-year remaining on his current deal.
Per the report, an agreement of €20m plus bonuses is realistic. Kalajdžić would like to join the Premier League club but is still currently in Stuttgart as the two clubs work to reach an agreement.
Several European clubs from Manchester United to AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund had shown an interest in signing the 25-year-old forward, but no club followed through with their interest.
As well as Kalajdžić, VfB could also lose Borna Sosa (24) before Thursday’s deadline. The Croatian is nearing a move to Serie A side Atalanta for around €18m.
