FC Köln midfielder Salih Özcan is a serious option for Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Axel Witsel, according to regional outlet Express.
BVB have shown interest in signing the 24-year-old midfielder, who signed a contract extension with Köln last summer until 2023.
As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten last month, Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) and Xaver Schlager (Wolfsburg) are both candidates to succeed Witsel as BVB’s No. 6, with a move for Florian Grillitsch (Hoffenheim) and Ellyes Skhiri (Köln) unlikely.
