Robert Lewandowski lands in Munich ahead of Bayern Munich training

Robert Lewandowski has landed in Munich ahead of pre-season training with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Bild snapped the 33-year-old at Munich’s VIP terminal at 21:14 on Monday evening, Lewandowski well recovered after a four-week summer vacation in Mallorca, Ibiza and Sicily. Upon landing, the Poland international told reporters: “I’m fine.”

Lewandowski is due at Bayern’s Säbener Straße HQ at 10:00 on Tuesday and despite earlier suggestions, the Pole will not go on strike despite a desire to join Barcelona as he enters the final year of his contract.

Barcelona’s latest offer of a reported €45m including bonuses doesn’t meet Bayern’s €50m valuation. But, both sides want clarity on Lewandowski’s future, ideally before their respective US tours. Barcelona fly to Miami on July 19, Bayern Munich fly to Washington on July 18 – both clubs would ideally like this transfer saga sorted prior.

Manuel Neuer (36), Leroy Sané (26), Lucas Hernández (26) and Benjamin Pavard (26) will also return to training on Tuesday.
