RB Leipzig defender Marcel Halstenberg has confirmed contract extension talks with the Bundesliga club.
“We have already had initial talks with the club. Now we will see in which direction it goes,” Halstenberg told Kicker.
The 30-year-old has a contract until the end of the season and could see himself staying at RB Leipzig.
Halstenberg has struggled with injuries this season and has played just 46 minutes of football.
