On Wednesday afternoon, Wolfsburg confirmed the signing of Arminia Bielefeld forward Patrick Wimmer.
The 20-year-old striker joined Bielefeld from Austria Wien last summer and is currently his side’s top goalscorer in the Bundesliga, scoring three times and providing seven assists in 26 matches.
Wimmer has signed a five-year deal at Wolfsburg which will keep him at the club until 2027 starting from this summer.
The U21 Austrian international said: “My goal is to go full throttle from day one in order to celebrate success with the club and as regularly as possible to compete with the club to play for international places.”
