Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have today announced the signing of 30-year-old goalkeeper Janis Blaswich from Heracles Almelo on a three-year contract until 2025.
The German, who moved to the Eredivisie from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2018, will join RB Leipzig when his contract expires in the summer and will provide competition for Péter Gulácsi.
“I’m very happy to join RB Leipzig and to be moving to a top Bundesliga club in the summer. The conditions here at Leipzig, with the training centre and the amazing stadium right in the middle of the city, are really something special,” said Blaswich. “I will be joining a great goalkeeping team with coach Frederik Gößling and Péter Gulácsi. He is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and I am looking forward to working with him.”
