Discussions between Eintracht Frankfurt and Besiktas for Ridvan Yilmaz on hold

Talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and Besiktas for the transfer for Ridvan Yilmaz have been put on hold after the two clubs failed to reach an agreement, according to Sport1.

Negotiations had been ongoing for Yilmaz (21), who is entering the final year of his contract with a reported fee of €6.5m being discussed.

The Turkey international played 33 games in all competitions for Besiktas last season and would provide further depth to Eintracht Frankfurt’s defence.

Despite reaching an agreement in principle with Juventus, Filip Kostić could yet remain at Eintracht Frankfurt with the Bundesliga club yet to receive an offer from the Italian side, who are also pursuing other options.

Eintracht have been one of the busier Bundesliga teams this summer with the signings of Aurélio Buta, Jerome Onguene, Faride Alidou and Randal Kolo Muani on free transfers. They’ve also signed Mario Götze and Lucas Alario for a combined €10m whilst signing Jens Petter Hauge and Kristian Jakic on a permanent basis.
