Bundesliga Predictions | Round 31

In this new weekly feature, hosts of the Gegenpressing podcast Stefan Bienkowski and Manu Veth face off with their predictions for the forthcoming Bundesliga matchday fixtures. It’s three points for a correct score and one point for a correct result. Who will come out on top at the end of the season?

Manu’s game of the week: Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund – Usually the Topspiel this week would be Hertha vs Stuttgart, a six point relegation battle that will have plenty of drama. But it is a Klassiker weekend and, as a result, the game to watch is obviously Bayern Munich vs Dortmund. Personally, I detest the term Klassiker for this game, that will always be Bayern vs Gladbach for me and also for this to be a true Klassiker, the team in yellow should be winning a few games in this particular matchup. Anyhow, this year feels odd, the title race is over and Bayern could actually wrap it up on Saturday. I do, however, think that Bayern will cherish a win, this will be the first time in two years that they can celebrate a title win with their fans; surely that means something, right?

Manu’s predictions:

Wolfsburg 1-1 Mainz

Leipzig 3-1 Union

Frankfurt 2-0 Hoffenheim

Freiburg 3-0 Gladbach

Köln 2-2 Bielefeld

Fürth 1-1 Leverkusen

Bayern 3-2 Dortmund

Bochum 2-1 Augsburg

Hertha 0-2 Stuttgart

Stefan is away this week, but find out if he agrees with Manuel and listen to the latest episode of the Bundesliga Gegenpressing Pod.
