Brentford and Nottingham Forest among clubs interested in Omar Marmoush

As reported by Kicker, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Espanyol and interested in signing 23-year-old Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Wolfsburg this summer.

Marmoush spent last season on loan at Stuttgart and has one-year remaining on his current deal with Wolfsburg and although the Bundesliga side want extend the contract, there has not yet been an offer to do so, but talks with his representatives are ongoing.

Earlier last month, Brentford made an opening offer to Wolfsburg for Marmoush, who was involved in eight goals (three goals, five assists) in 21 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last season, as they secured their league status on the final day – Brentford’s offer was rebuffed.

That could see Nottingham Forest swoop for Marmoush. The newly-promoted Premier League side have already signed four Bundesliga players this summer: Taiwo Awoniyi, Moussa Niakhaté, Omar Richards and Orel Mangala.

Speaking in April, Marmoush also stated a desire to one day play in the Premier League: “My dream is to play in the Premier League. I don’t have a favourite club but I watch a lot of Arsenal and Liverpool.”
