Bundesliga side FC Köln have today announced a partnership with Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima for the next two-and-a-half years.
The co-operation includes coaching courses, training camps as well as the exchange of youth and scouting at both Köln and Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
“For us, Japan is an interesting market for many reasons. We will use the co-operation to share our expertise in Sport and Management, to increase the popularity of FC Köln in Asia and to acquire new partners,” said FC Köln managing director Alexander Werhle.
“The special awareness of tradition, which plays a major role in the FC family and in Japanese culture, will be an important link.”
