Borussia Mönchengladbach held talks with Adi Hütter – Kicker

According to Kicker, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl held talks with Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Adi Hütter several weeks ago.

The Bundesliga side are searching for a successor to current head coach Marco Rose, who will leave for Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

Hütter recently told Sky Germany that he is staying at Eintracht Frankfurt but it appears that the Austrian is near the top of Eberl’s shortlist, which also includes Erik ten Hag (Ajax) and Jesse Marsch (RB Salzburg).

Eintracht Frankfurt (4th) occupy the final Champions League place whilst Borussia Mönchengladbach (10th) are 11 points behind which could prove to be a deciding factor in their pursuit of Hütter.

Per the report, Hütter has a €7.5m release clause in his contract.
