Official | Pascal Köpke joins FC Nürnberg from Hertha BSC

FC Nürnberg have announced that striker Pascal Köpke has joined the club on a permanent deal from Hertha BSC, subject to a medical on Monday.

The 24-year-old striker began his career with Nürnberg where he enjoyed a 10-year youth spell with the club between 2003 and 2013 before going on to play for Unterhaching, Karlsruhe and Aue.

His transfer back to Nürnberg brings an end to his two year spell with Hertha where he made 13 appearances, scoring once in the process.

Dieter Hecking, FCN Board Member Sport: “With Pascal we have been able to sign another piece of the puzzle for our squad. With his way of playing football, including many runs in depth – and the resulting risk of goalscoring – he is the type of striker that was missing in our squad. “

Pascal Köpke: “It is a really nice feeling to come back home – of course, provided you have passed the medical check on Monday. The club is my youth, even more, my heart club. I’m looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and will do everything I can to ensure that we have a successful season.”
