Bayer Leverkusen in advanced negotiations to sign Patrik Schick

Sport1 report that negotiations between AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen regarding the transfer of striker Patrik Schick are now at an advanced stage.

The 24-year-old Czech international striker spent last season on loan in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig however Leverkusen are keen to bring the talented forward to the BayArena on a permanent deal this summer.

Sport1 report that negotiations are now well advanced and that the two sides are close to agreeing on a deal worth around €22 million, including add ons, for the striker. However, the completion of the deal could depend on whether current Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland joins AS Monaco in the coming days.

Leipzig are themselves keen to bring Schick back to the Red Bull Arena next season but can’t afford to meet AS Roma’s asking price.
