Borussia Mönchengladbach are in discussions to sign 21-year-old RB Leipzig midfielder Hannes Wolf on loan with an option to buy, according to Kicker.
RB Leipzig would like to recoup the €12 million they paid RB Salzburg last summer for Wolf however, Gladbach are unable to pay a substantial fee to sign the Austria international due to the financial impact of Coronavirus.
And so, RB Leipzig would be open to loaning out Wolf with a purchase option, which would suit Borussia Mönchengladbach, who qualified for the Champions League.
Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl stated earlier in the week that he’s only looking to bring in one or two new signings to the Bundesliga club, one of them being an attacking player for no more than €10m.
