Bayern Munich have asked Inter Milan for an extension before making a final decision on 31-year-old attacker Ivan Perišić, according to Bild.
The Bundesliga leaders had a €20 million buy option which expired last week, Bayern are hoping they can negotiate a lower fee for Perišić with head coach Hansi Flick wanting to keep him as a backup to Leroy Sané.
Perišić has played 16 Bundesliga games for Bayern Munich this season, scoring four and creating five.
