Official | Hamburg announce Dieter Hecking as head coach

2. Bundesliga club Hamburg have announced the appoint of Dieter Hecking as head coach.

The 54-year-old has left Borussia Mönchengladbach after two-and-a-half seasons, guiding them to fifth in the 2018/19 Bundesliga season.

“Our main focus will now be about bringing a bit of calm and, hopefully, sporting success back to the club. I am very happy to have been presented as the new head coach today. Dirk (Bremser) being my assistant coach is, yeah, no secret. He is too loyal and also, on a technical level, just too good. In the next few days I will speak with the team here and then we will decide afterwards,” said Hecking.
