Borussia Dortmund join PSG & Juventus in clubs interested in Jerome Boateng

Sport1 are tonight reporting that Borussia Dortmund have joined Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus & Inter Milan in the list of clubs that are interested in signing out of favour Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

Bayern President Uli Hoeneß has already recommended the 30-year-old should leave the club, with the recent additions of Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard putting the World Cup winner further down the pecking order.

“I have no resentment against Jerome. He has done a great job at Bayern, but we now get Hernandez and Pavard, and we already have Mats Hummels and Niklas Süle. The frustration he has right now will only increase if he stays,” Hoeneß told Sport1.

“That’s why I advised him to leave the club. He’s not a player for the bench. He can’t tolerate it. You have seen that in the last few weeks. Therefore, it would be better for him to go. But that doesn’t mean I have anything against Jerome.”

A potential stumbling block for Dortmund would the Boateng’s €12m annual salary.
