ESPN are tonight reporting that Arsenal have shown an interest in signing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 20-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal with the Bundesliga club and while no official bid has yet been made, RB Leipzig are aware of Arsenal’s interest, per the report.
Pursuing the Frenchman would certainly make sense for the Gunners with Laurent Koscielny potentially departing the club however, failure to win the Europa League and thus failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League would be a stumbling block.
