Bayern Munich haven’t ruled out a return for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after bosses maintain regular contact with their former head coach, according to Sport Bild.
The Spaniard retains a property in Munich whilst the report suggests that Guardiola is no longer happy in Manchester, sparking speculation of a return to Germany.
Thomas Tuchel (PSG) and Erik ten Hag (Ajax) have also been contacted regarding the vacant managerial role at Bayern Munich following the dismissal of Niko Kovač.
The Athletic report Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is also a prime candidate for the vacant role. However, Bayern will face competition from Europe’s elite clubs if the Argentine and Spurs go their separate ways.
