Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Adi Hütter has confirmed David Abraham will remain captain of the Bundesliga club despite barging Freiburg coach Christian Streich over on Sunday.
“David Abraham is and remains our captain. I won’t drop someone, just because they have made a mistake,” Hütter told FFH Radio.
Abraham was shown a red card after deliberately running into Streich, forcing the Freiburg coach to the ground, sparking a mass brawl between the two teams.
The Argentine faces a suspension as well as a fine.
