Arsène Wenger is the frontrunner for vacant Bayern Munich job

Frenchman Arsène Wenger is the frontrunner to become the next Bayern Munich boss, according to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk.

The Bundesliga club would give the 70-year-old a contract until the end of the season before exploring the possibility of a long-term target such as Erik ten Hag (Ajax) or Thomas Tuchel (PSG).

ESPN report Wenger is expected to meet Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge later this week to discuss the vacant role.
