Bayern Munich reach agreement to sign Ismael Saibari

Bayern Munich are close to securing their first major transfer of 2026/27 with the impending arrival of PSV attacker Ismael Saibari. According to a report by Sky Germany, the Bundesliga champions, after days of negotiations, have reached a total agreement with the Moroccan’s Dutch club, PSV Eindhoven.

Saibari, who opened the scoring against Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will sign a contract until 2031, and will complete his medical in the USA. Although no fee has been mentioned by Florian Plettenberg, previous reporting claimed Bayern proposed a €45m plus €5m offer for the 25-year-old, but PSV wanted a €50m base fee for their prized asset.

Bayern fought off competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who made enquiries earlier in the year to sign the 25-year-old, who scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in 27 Eredivisie games for PSV in 2025/26.

For Germany’s record champions, it’s another significant attacking outlay after signing Luis Díaz for €70m last summer but with the Colombian turning 30 in the new year, Serge Gnabry injured and Lennart Karl continuing his development, Saibari’s imminent arrival appears, on first look, a transfer coup
