According to Sport Bild, the relationship between Matthijs de Ligt and Thomas Tuchel is tense and it could open the possibility of a summer move for the Dutch international.
de Ligt is currently third choice centre-back at Bayern Munich behind Kim Min-Jae and Dayot Upamecano and the arrival of Eric Dier does not help the situation for the 24-year-old. Additionally, Bayern have shown an interest in Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, with a move for the Uruguayan likely to become a topic in the summer.
This all puts into question de Ligt’s future at Bayern. It is clear that Tuchel is not a fan of the 24-year-old, resulting in the relationship between the pair becoming tense.
Amid interest from Premier League sides, a move away in the summer is not out of the question. It will rely on new board member Max Eberl to try and sell de Ligt for close to the €67m fee originally paid for him and sign a good replacement.
