“It will happen” – Thomas Tuchel predicts Serge Gnabry to score against Real Madrid

“It will happen. I don’t know how I know, but it’s going to happen.” Thomas Tuchel made quite the statement to reporters on Tuesday, predicting that Serge Gnabry will score against Real Madrid.

Gnabry hasn’t featured for Bayern Munich since the Champions League quarter-final first-leg against Arsenal on 9 April, when the 28-year-old equalised at the Emirates. The Rekordmeister then confirmed a day later that Gnabry suffered a hamstring injury and would be sidelined for the foreseeable future, but the German attacker is expected back on Tuesday.

Gnabry is back in training and should feature against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid. It’s a huge boost for Tuchel with Kingsley Coman sidelined for the remainder of the season, while Leroy Sané has been struggling with a pubic bone issue. Jamal Musiala was also rested at the weekend because of a slight knee problem, but all three players should be available to Tuchel against Los Blancos.
