Harry Kane “confident” ahead of Real Madrid clash

Harry Kane scored his 400th goal in senior football in Bayern Munich’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon. The Englishman is enjoying best goalscoring season with 42 goals across all competitions, a personal record.

And on Tuesday, Bayern Munich host Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg. When asked in the mixed zone how many goals he will score against Real, Kane said: “Hopefully a few. I’m in good form and confident. If my teammates serve me like they have all season, then I’ll be there.”

Kane also heaped praise on England teammate Jude Bellingham. The 20-year-old has 21 goals and 10 assists in 36 games across all competitions for Los Blancos this season following his €103m move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

“He’s having an outstanding season. But he can hold back in the two games against us,” said Kane.

Harry Kane breaks 60-year Bundesliga record

Kane’s brace against Eintracht Frankfurt takes his tally to 35 goals in the Bundesliga. And with that, the 30-year-old breaks a 60-year record, held by Hamburg’s Uwe Seeler, by becoming the quickest to 35 league goals, reaching the milestone in just 31 games.
