Bayern Munich target Radu Drăgușin to join Tottenham Hotspur

Bayern Munich target Radu Drăgușin will join Tottenham Hotspur instead, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Bundesliga club attempted to hijack the deal on Tuesday evening despite the defender agreeing personal terms with Spurs.

Genoa CFC accepted both offers for the Romanian international, leaving the decision up to the player.

Despite previously preferring a move to Bayern, Drăgușin to Tottenham is now a done deal.

Due to Bayern’s involvement, Tottenham launched another bid overnight in excess of €30m to further sweeten their deal.

Moreover, Djed Spence (23) will join Genoa on loan from Spurs as part of the deal. This may have been another factor for Genoa wanting Drăgușin to join Spurs instead of Bayern.

Drăgușin is expected to travel to England to complete the deal in the coming days.

As a result, Bayern may need to turn their attention to other targets, such as Eric Dier and Nordi Mukiele, if they are to land defensive reinforcement this January.
