With Bayer Leverkusen approaching their maiden Bundesliga title victory, the club is likely going to capitalise on this with five to six signings this summer reports Bild

One player is Josip Stanisic. The on-loan defender from Bayern Munich could stay at the club as Leverkusen are interested in making his loan move permanent. The Croatian is a big fan of Xabi Alonso and wants to continue to work under the manager.

Former Barcelona winger Trincão is an option to help improve Leverkusen’s width. The winger’s contract at Sporting is valid until 2026 and he could cost Die Werkself around €15m. The 24-year-old could provide an alternative option and profile to Victor Boniface and Patrick Schick.

Other arrivals will depend on departures. Piero Hincapié could leave Leverkusen if Jonathan Tah decides to stay in the summer. Adam Hlozek is also a candidate to be sold as he has failed to impress since joining Leverkusen.

Finally, Leverkusen are also working on keeping Jeremie Frimpong. The 23-year-old currently feels comfortable at Leverkusen which could mean that despite the €40m release clause in his contract, he could stay.

Leverkusen will win the league this weekend if they are able to beat Werder Bremen at home on Sunday or Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart both lose on Saturday.
