Stuttgart want to buy out Serhou Guirassy’s €20m release clause

With ten goals in just five Bundesliga outings, Serhou Guirassy has quickly become the most feared striker in not just Germany, but the entirety of Europe. However, such goalscoring form has meant that the 27-year-old has garnered considerable interest from some of Europe’s elite, meaning that his €20m release clause has become significantly tempting.

Nevertheless, as reported by Bild, Stuttgart are looking to buy out Guirassy’s release clause in order to help establish themselves as a top side in Germany once again. But being able to do so relies upon the car manufacturer, Porsche.

The Porsche investment is expected to grant Stuttgart €40m, which would drastically change the fortunes of the club. This would allow the Swabians to rely less on selling their star players, and therefore, keep Guirassy at the club.

By ensuring that the Guinea international remains at Stuttgart, a new and improved contract would have to be offered to the striker. However, the problem Die Roten are currently experiencing is that the deal is yet to go through.

For three months Stuttgart and Porsche have been waiting for the green light on the deal to be confirmed. With legal negotiations continuing, as well as the DFL insisting that Porsche is not an independent company, the wait goes on.

Nonetheless, if the deal is completed then Stuttgart can look towards a bright future with Guirassy leading the line.
