Roland Virkus unhappy with Daniel Farke’s tactical set-up against Borussia Dortmund

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Roland Virkus was unhappy with the tactical decisions of Daniel Farke in yesterday’s 5-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund.

There were rumours around a possible sacking of Farke as Gladbach coach after the game, but the plan is for the former Norwich boss to lead training on Sunday. There is reportedly no meeting planned to talk about Farke’s future at the moment.

After a solid start to the season, Gladbach have drastically declined in their form since October. Their away form is one of the worst in the league and they currently find themselves 10th in the league in a similar position to last season under Adi Hütter. In the previous 10 games, Gladbach have only won twice against Wolfsburg and Bochum (both 2-0).

It was reported earlier on in the week that Farke’s job at Gladbach was safe and he would be supported during their rebuild in the summer, however, that may begin to change.
