RB Leipzig interested in Manchester City’s Cole Palmer

According to The Athletic, RB Leipzig as well as a host of other top-half Bundesliga clubs are interested in Manchester City midfielder Cole Palmer.

Leipzig have shown interest in the 21 year old last summer, in January and are again interested in bringing Palmer to Saxony. It is clear that Leipzig are trying to bring in a player who can play as an attacking midfielder, as they have also had offers rejected by Liverpool for Fabio Carvalho.

This could be due to the potential departure of Dominik Szoboszlai and Leipzig are look for options for added depth.

However, in a similar situation with Liverpool and Carvalho, City are against having an obligation to buy in any loan agreement that could be made.

Palmer played 25 times for City last season as they completed the treble, but he was only able to start seven times in those games. The 21 year old has rejected loan offers from other clubs last season as he had hoped for more game time.
