RB Leipzig interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram

Bild reports that RB Leipzig are interested in signing Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram, who becomes a free agent in the summer.

Thuram already has three offers from clubs for his signature in the summer. Leipzig are said to hold an interest in signing the 25-year-old due to the fact he will be free and that coach Marco Rose and sports director Max Eberl are familiar with Thuram due to their time at Gladbach.

Last summer, Leipzig completed the signing of Benjamin Seško from Red Bull Salzburg but with the future of André Silva and Yussuf Poulsen in doubt, it has prompted the club to look for more options.

Thuram will add depth to the striker position but will come with Bundesliga experience to add to that of Timo Werner who would be the other recognised striker along with the aforementioned Seško.

The 25-year-old is yet to make a decision on his future and will play his last game for Gladbach on Saturday against Augsburg at Borussia Park.
